The Crisafulli Government has announced the latest community groups and sporting clubs to share in more than $16 million of grants from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
More than 2000 applications were received across Queensland, which is the largest number in the program’s 31-year history.
The grants provide a huge benefit across Queensland towns, rural centres and cities, as well as provide a lifeline for organisations that are doing it tough., especially in Far North Queensland.
11 different organisations, from schools and kindys to community organisations, all received much-needed funding for various requirements.
The GCBF is Queensland’s largest one-off grants program. The GCBF provides grants to Queensland not-for-profit community organisations to enhance their capacity to provide services, leisure activities and economic opportunities for their local communities.
