School zones keep our kids safe – so we’re upgrading them across the State.

This Queensland Road Safety Week, we’ve announced almost $7 million for Flashing School Zone Signs at 100 high-risk locations across Queensland.

These signs are proven to reduce speeding by 45 per cent, helping protect our most vulnerable road users - children.

We're listening to school communities and taking action to make roads around our schools safer.
Join me in wishing Pat a very Happy 100th Birthday! 🎉

Today I had the honour of celebrating this incredible milestone with Pat, her family, and friends. What a joy to be part of such a special day! 🥳
CYBER SECURITY BOOST: Free industry-specific training coming to Queensland's construction businesses! The Crisafulli Government is expanding our small business cybersecurity fight with targeted training for construction industry workers and owners.

What's being delivered:

✅ Free, industry-specific cyber security training
✅ Queensland-first partnership with Cyber Wardens
✅ Practical webinars and information sessions
✅ Training to become certified Cyber Wardens

Why construction first?

Construction is Queensland's largest small and family business sector, and cyber attacks targeting the industry are on the rise. With Queensland recording the highest number of cyber incidents nationwide last financial year, this targeted support is crucial.

What you'll learn:

🎯 Biggest cyber security risks for small businesses
🚨 Red flags and warning signs
💻 Everyday habits that increase vulnerability
🛡️ How to identify cyber security threats

COSBOA's Matthew Addison said: "Just like donning a hard hat on site to protect you from physical harm, Cyber Wardens is a simple way to help keep your business safe."

This training is part of our Small and Family Business First Action Statement, backed by more than $130 million to support Queensland businesses.

With 43% of cybercrimes targeting small businesses, this practical training will give construction workers and owners the confidence to safeguard against digital threats.

The Crisafulli Government’s intervention into DVConnect has seen their response rate rise, helping more women who need support.

Before the last election, DVConnect was picking up the Womensline phone just 41.9% of the time.

Now, the service is starting to turn around with data showing the WomensLine response rate is at 73%, following intervention by our government.

While answering 73% of calls is still too low, we are committed to continue working on delivering better outcomes for vulnerable victims of domestic and family violence.
Safety Secured at Trinity Beach State School

After years of concern, Trinity Beach State School will finally be getting a brand-new fence — a huge win for the whole school community.

For too long, the old fence left students at risk of leaving school grounds and allowed vandals to enter after hours. Over the past 10 months, my staff and I have worked behind the scenes with the Minister, the P&C and Trinity Beach State School to advocate for the safe fencing this school needs and deserve.

I am so proud to say that persistence has paid off.

This is a big victory for the staff, P&C, families, and the wider community, who have all fought hard for this outcome. The new fence will keep students safe, protect the school, and give everyone peace of mind.
