From the best pies to our most iconic pubs, it’s time to show some love for your local favourites.
In the lead-up to Queensland Day on June 6, the Crisafulli Government has launched an exciting new campaign—“All the Best”—designed to celebrate the food, places, and moments that make our Sunshine State truly shine.
Whether it’s the best fish and chips in Redlynch, your go-to café in Kuranda, or a natural wonder right here in the Barron River electorate, locals are being asked to vote for their region’s ‘bests’ across 15 fun categories, including:
- Meat Pie
- Fish and Chips
- Coffee
- Bahn Mi
- Parmi
- Ice Cream
- Burger
- Beer
- Pub
- Café
- Event
- Big Thing
- Beach
- Landmark
- Natural Attraction
As part of the celebrations, Bundaberg Brewed Drinks has released a limited-edition Queensland Day Ginger Beer, available only during the Queensland Day Kombi road trip that’s travelling across the state to spread community spirit.
Premier David Crisafulli says Queensland Day is a chance to reflect on all the things that make our state the best in the world.
“Queenslanders know what makes our State so special, from the best spot for a Parmi to their favourite beach. I want them to share what they love about where they live.”
Joining the celebrations is Queensland Day Ambassador and rugby league legend Gorden Tallis, who’s urging locals to get involved.
“I’ve worn the Queensland jersey with pride and I know firsthand the passion Queenslanders bring to everything we do… Now’s the time to show some love for your patch of Queensland.”
The campaign officially kicked off in Wide Bay, but the love is spreading fast—so now’s the perfect time for Barron River locals to step up and shine a spotlight on their hometown favourites!
