Today I’ve been with Mayor of Cassowary Coast Terese Millwood, getting a report on recovery efforts in Silkwood, Mission Beach, Cardwell and Hinchinbrook.
It’s brought back a lot of memories of post Jasper in the Barron River electorate. These communities are resilient and doing well all things considered.
The Government agencies are doing a fantastic job on the ground. The SES and Rural Firies are doing a fantastic job hosing and cleaning out homes.
