Crankworx will return to Smithfield Mountain Bike Park 21 May to 25 My 2025 and once again, bring in some serious crowds. This is the fourth time Cairns has had the privilege to host such an iconic mountain biking event.
Athletes get to descend on the wild rainforest tracks of Smithfield to be crowned King and Queen of Crankworx with amateur competitors and avid riders getting involved through the all-new Quadzilla Enduro, CWNEXT, Women’s Ride Out and Kidsworx events.
Events like these bring a fantastic atmosphere to the city and help to significantly boost visitor numbers to Queensland, putting Cairns on the global stage. Visitors that come here for the event also go to our hotels, restaurants and shops, making an economic impact.
This year Crankworx Cairns is estimated to deliver:
- $7.1 million in direct and incremental spend in Queensland
- 28,000+ direct visitor nights
- 3,800+ people to the region specifically for the event
What a great opportunity to establish Queensland as a must-visit destination and secure our position as the Reef, Rainforest and Riding capital of the world. Also thanks to Queensland Parks and Wildlife Services for their help in facilitating the event.
