Far North Queensland has once again proven it’s a powerhouse of world-class experiences, spectacular natural attractions, and tourism excellence—bringing home an incredible haul at this year’s Queensland Tourism Awards.
As the state celebrates a record-breaking year for the tourism industry and looks ahead to a bold future under the Crisafulli Government’s Destination 2045 vision, FNQ’s operators have stood tall among Queensland’s finest.
The 40th annual Queensland Tourism Awards recognised winners across 31 categories spanning ecotourism, accommodation, events, cultural experiences, accessibility, and major attractions.
Tourism Minister Andrew Powell highlighted the industry’s strength, with Queensland achieving a record $6.8 billion in international visitor spend and committing to a $1 billion tourism budget over four years. With major goals to become Australia’s events capital and a global leader in ecotourism, the awards reflect a sector gaining serious momentum.
The Crisafulli Government’s streamlined submission system for the awards has also set a new national standard, supporting the success of 65,000 tourism businesses as they plan for 2045 and beyond.
Amid strong competition across the state, it was Far North Queensland’s tourism champions who captured the spotlight. From rainforest wonders to luxury escapes and iconic cultural attractions, FNQ proved why it remains one of Australia’s most beloved travel destinations.
