Community groups across the Barron River electorate are set to benefit from a significant funding boost, with more than $277,000 awarded to ten local organisations through the latest round of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
This funding forms part of a broader statewide investment, with approximately $19.5 million distributed to nearly 800 not-for-profit and community groups under Round 125 of the program.

- Marlin Coast Netball Coaches Association Inc – $13,722
- Northern Beaches Mudcrabs Rugby Union Club Inc – $30,000
- Stratford Dolphins Football Club Inc – $27,000
- The Queensland Country Women’s Association – $35,000

Many of these organisations received grants of up to $35,000, reflecting the strong demand for investment in local infrastructure, equipment, and community-driven initiatives.
Since its establishment in 1994, the Gambling Community Benefit Fund has delivered more than $1.3 billion to community groups across Queensland. The program continues to attract strong interest, with more than 1,500 applications submitted in this latest round alone.
