Queenslanders are gearing up to celebrate everything that makes our state extraordinary, with nominations now open for the 2026 Queensland Day Awards and the All the Best campaign.
Held on 6 June, Queensland Day is a celebration of our people, our places, and the unique spirit that defines us. And this year, Far North Queensland has a real opportunity to stand out. This morning my team and I ventured to Cairns Aquarium to share the news that voting is now open. We are calling on all of FNQ to get behind our great region and vote this year.
Last year, we proved just how special our region is, with the iconic Great Barrier Reef taking out the top Landmark award.
But in 2026, we’re aiming higher.
From the best bakery to the best beach, the All the Best campaign features 15 categories that showcase the very best Queensland has to offer. And this is where FNQ can truly shine.
This is your chance to support the businesses and places that make our region unforgettable.
Queensland Day is also about recognising the people who make our communities stronger.
The 2026 Queensland Day Awards are your chance to nominate the quiet achievers, the community champions, and the everyday legends who embody what it means to be a Queenslander. Whether it’s someone who steps up in times of need or someone who’s always there for others. Now is the time to say thank you.
Let’s rally together, celebrate our region, and make sure Far North Queensland dominates the 2026 Queensland Day Awards.
Search “Queensland Day” or visit qld.gov.au/qldday to cast your vote or submit a nomination.
Because no one does it better than FNQ and it’s time the rest of Queensland knows it.
