The Crisafulli Government is continuing to invest in Queensland’s frontline emergency services, with the Holloways Beach SES Unit set to benefit from a significant infrastructure upgrade under the 2026-27 Queensland SES Support Grant Program.
As part of almost $2.5 million in funding for 35 SES projects across Queensland, the Holloways Beach SES Unit has secured $90,500 for the purchase and installation of a Stage 2 vehicle shed.
This important project will help protect SES vehicles and equipment, ensuring volunteers have reliable resources available when responding to emergencies.
Queensland’s SES volunteers play a vital role in keeping communities safe. Whether responding to cyclones, severe storms, flooding events or search and rescue operations, volunteers are often among the first on the scene when Queenslanders need assistance.
The funding announcement forms part of the Crisafulli Government’s broader commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness across the State. In addition to funding local projects, the Government is investing in upgraded facilities, generators, storage sheds, command buildings and vehicle replacements to improve SES capability and volunteer safety.
For Holloways Beach, the new vehicle shed represents a practical investment that will support volunteers in maintaining and protecting the equipment they depend on to serve our community.
