To celebrate all things tourism, I ventured to Miguels for Tourism Palm Cove’s recent tourism event.
I was joined by 50+ tourism operators and stakeholders in the community as we talked about the 20-year vision for Cairns’ tourism and I shared an update on both Wangetti Trail and Double Island.

Tourism is the lifeblood of our region and one of my biggest passions, not only as the Member for Barron River but as the Assistant Minister for Tourism. One of my favourite things about living in Cairns is experiencing the many great tourist-driven attractions we have. As a local, I still love getting out and exploring the reef, the rainforest, the trails, the beaches, the creeks and everything else this amazing part of Queensland has to offer.
