The Crisafulli Government has announced a $20 million Regional Tourism Infrastructure Fund, delivering a major boost to Queensland’s regional tourism sector.
This exciting new initiative aims to develop world-class tourism experiences outside South East Queensland, helping to attract more visitors, encourage longer stays, and strengthen local economies.
Grants Now Open
Applications are officially open for funding of up to $300,000 per project, with no co-investment required. The grants will be delivered across four rounds, designed to support small businesses and tourism operators who have great ideas to enhance regional tourism offerings.
From new attractions to eco-adventures, the fund supports projects that will make Queensland’s regions must-visit destinations for travellers from around the world.
Backed by Destination 2045
The Regional Tourism Infrastructure Fund is a key part of the Crisafulli Government’s visionary 20-year tourism plan, Destination 2045, which sets out a roadmap for Queensland to become a world leader in sustainable tourism.
Queensland is the home of the holiday and we are unashamedly backing growth of our tourism industry. We’re seeking great ideas that will produce unforgettable tourism experiences and keep Queensland at the top of bucket lists.
Applications for the Regional Tourism Infrastructure Fund close on 12 November. I encourage all tourism operators and ideas people in Far North Queensland to get those applications in – this is such a great opportunity to secure seed money for those tourism projects that will ensure our region continues to shine.
